Project 002 – Park Avenue Apartment

This apartment in a storied Rosario Candela building on Park Avenue was heavily inspired by Art Deco design. Our client provided us with the freedom to curate a collection of French, Swedish, and Italian pieces from the period, enveloped in a color palette rich in jewel tones. The millwork in the dining room is fashioned after a private eating club in Paris while subtle decorative finishes on the walls – from plaster to lacquer in creams and whites – were used throughout to allow the furniture pieces to take center stage. Color was applied subtly through textiles and luxurious carpets – the green silk in the library is a particular favorite.
